Computers are used in almost every aspect of life: automobile engines, microwave ovens, video games, watches, telephones, laptop computers, medical diagnostic equipment, commercial aircraft, and orbital satellites that deliver cable signals around the world. Computers have become tools that perform the immediate, but that's not even quick enough.So, while the computer field is one of the fastest growing segments of industry today, it is also one of the fastest changing areas technologically.

Graduates with degrees in computer science or computer engineering might find themselves in a variety of environments - academia, research, industry, government, and private or not-for-profit organizations. On a daily basis, computer professionals are called on to analyze challenges, formulate and test solutions, use advanced communications or multimedia equipment, or work in teams for product development.The opportunities are enormous. However, an education in computer science and engineering does not stop with a college degree. It continues on the job or in the graduate school environment through seminars, conferences, advanced courses, and training.

Overview - Computer Science and Engineering

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Adarsh College of Engineering offers a highly competitive B. Tech program. The four year program leading to a B. Tech degree builds strong foundations in all traditional areas of Computer Science and Engineering. In addition the choice of electives offers the freedom for one to specialize in one or more areas of Computer Science and Engineering. The state of art curriculum promotes independent thinking and learning at an individual's pace. There is great emphasis on hands-on training and design as part of course projects. The department strives to provide state of art infrastructure and facilities to our undergraduate students where they bring their project and research ideas to fruition. The department has taken up the challenge to attract world class faculty in all areas of Computer Science and Engineering.

• The curriculum based on JNTUK. Some of the innovative practices are included as part of the curriculum like practice school, mini projects associated with lab and theory courses, continuous evaluation, relative grading, etc.

• The department has excellent link with leading industries and has a well-connected alumni network. Infrastructure facilities include well equipped computer lab.

• Department organizes regular seminars on latest technologies and workshops.

• All the lecture halls are provided with state of the art facilities such as LCD Projectors, audio visual aids.

• Duration : 4 years
• Citizenship : Indian nationals.
• Qualification : Pass in 10+2 / HSC / intermediate/ 12th grade equivalent with Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics subjects with a minimum of 45% marks in the prescribed group subjects for General Candidates and 5% relaxation for SC/ST Candidates.
• The candidates should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December by the commencement of admissions

Admission will be on the basis of secure marks in Engineering Agricultural and Medical Entrance Test (EAMECT).


Entrance Test Type: Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET).

Test Syllabus: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics include questions based on the 10+2 syllabus followed by major 10+2 Boards /Universities.

Test Pattern: (Applicable to BTech/BPharm/PharmD courses) Duration-3 hours, Questions-100 (MCQ). The approximate distribution of questions is as follows: Physics -25, Chemistry-25, Mathematics-50.
