Electronics and Communication Engineering
Electronics engineering, or electronic engineering, is an engineering discipline which utilizes non-linear and active electrical components (such as electron tubes, and semiconductor devices, especially transistors, diodes and integrated circuits) to designelectronic circuits, devices and systems. The discipline typically also designs passive electrical components, usually based on printed circuit boards.
The term "electronic engineering" denotes a broad engineering field that covers subfields such as analog electronics, digital electronics, consumer electronics, embedded systems and power electronics. Electronics engineering deals with implementation of applications, principles and algorithms developed within many related fields, for example solid-state physics, radio engineering, telecommunications, control systems, signal processing, systems engineering, computer engineering, instrumentation engineering, electric power control, robotics, and many others
Overview - Electronics and Communication Engineering
The B.Tech program in Electronics and Communication Engineering involves subjects those mainly teach students about design, analysis & application of electronics & communication circuits.
THE PROGRAM HAS THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS:
• Academic Qualification of Faculty: Electronics and Communication Engineering Department is one of the best departments in the institute.
• Laboratory Facility: The department has well-equipped Electronics and Communication Engineering laboratories. The students are exposed to practical verification of the knowledge they have acquired in their theory classes.
• Library Facility: Sufficient number of books is available in Adarsh College of Engineering Library.
• Industrial training is a part of the curriculum where students have to work in an industry which is related to their area of interest for a minimum period of 4 weeks. Essentially, this gives them an exposure to the technology in practice and industrial environment.
• Seminars included in the curriculum helps them to experience self-learning and develop communication and interpersonal skills.
• Various clubs operated at the department level train the students on various aspects related to the industrial requirements such as technical projects and opportunity to participate in competitions.
• Workshops & conferences held at the department and institution level provides them with the relevant exposure.
• Scholarship: Based on the academic excellence, students can seek scholarships from organizations like General Motors.
• Placement Record: The placement record of Mechanical Engineering Department is very good. Most of the eligible candidates are recruited by reputed organisations.
Some of the major companies where the students get placed are Cisco, Oracle, Toshiba, Deloitte, MU Sigma, Cybage, Saankhya Labs, Microsoft(SMSG), Unisys Global, TCS, Philips, Wipro, IBM, S&P Capital IQ, Ericsson Global, TATA ELXSI, Maruti Suzuki, Samsung R&D, Freescale, Societe Generale, Samsung Software India, Sapient Nitro, L&T IES, Philips Electronics, Mahindra & Mahindra, ABB (Asea Brown Boveri), Comviva Technologies Ltd, Nomura, Mphasis, Toshiba Embedded Software (I) Pvt Ltd and iGATE PATNI.
