The MBA degree originated in the United States in the late 19th century when the country industrialized and companies sought scientific approaches to management. The core courses in an MBA program cover various areas of business such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources and operations in a manner most relevant to management analysis and strategy.
The MBA is a terminal degree and a professional degree.[1] Accreditation bodies specifically for MBA programs ensure consistency and quality of education
Overview - Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Management Studies, Adarsh college of Engineering – ACEE MBA Program. Currently offering a two years Full Time MBA Program with full time faculty members with experience of industry and academics and have expertise in teaching traditional specializations like Marketing, HR & Finance as well as new age domains such as Business Analytics and Digital Marketing. They are also skilled in carrying out meaningful research. In addition to this, two visiting faculty members, who are practitioners from the Industry, bring hands on corporate experience to make learning more exciting
MBA Programs:
The main aim of launching MBA program is to respond to the managerial needs of all types of organizations i.e. profit & non-profit, Big & small and hence play a key role in bringing value to individuals, organizations and the society.
With an annual intake of 180 students only, MBA program offers specializations in four domains viz. Marketing, Finance, HR and Business Analytics spanning over four semesters. Students can major in two specializations simultaneously to increase the chances of getting exciting and variety of job offers. The choice of specializations is flexible and newer specialization can be introduced depending upon sufficient number of students opting for a specialization
Variety of exciting pedagogical tools such as Business Simulation, case analysis, presentations, management games, role plays, business quiz and live projects are employed to develop Leadership and problem solving skills imperative for every business graduate today. Further, to enhance employability, all students are compulsorily made to undergo soft skill, aptitude building and technical training.
The admission to MBA program is done through a prescheduled Counselling process based on merit ranks scored as weighted sum of AP ICET . AP ICET is an Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test(ICET) for admission into MBA and MCA course of all Universities in AndharPradesh and their affiliated colleges. DIT-FMS experienced and talented faculties are renowned researchers of repute. Several global journals and publications regularly carry evidence of the work put in by them. DIT faculty members are active and regular participants in international conferences and symposia. They contribute to international journals and collaborate with a broad range of agencies to develop and execute consultancy projects. Such active involvement generates precious cross-fertilization and ensures that all academic programmes are kept up to date. The current research work is focused in the area of Financial Management, Knowledge Management, Marketing Management, Operations Research, Organisational Behavior, Human Resource Management, entrepreneurship and Quality Management.
OUTLINE - MBA
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
Certain eligibility conditions have been laid down by APSCHE for candidates who can or cannot apply for the exam.
Candidates are advised to go through the APICET eligibility conditions carefully and ascertain their eligibility before applying for the exam. It is emphasised that at any point if the candidate is found to be ineligible for the admission or the exam, he/she may be disqualified. Given below are the AP ICET
The candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974 as amended up to date (as per G.O. Ms.No. 25, dated: 19.03.2004 & G.O.Ms.No.108, dated 3-7-2005,Higher , dated 30-7-2005 and its amendments).
The candidates other than Indian Nationals should satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned.
The candidates seeking admission :
For MBA: Should have passed recognized Bachelors Degree Examination of minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of reserved categories) in the qualifying examination.
For MCA: Should have passed recognized Bachelors Degree examination of minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of reserved categories) in the qualifying examination with Mathematics at 10+2 level.
The qualifying Degree obtained by Distance Mode Program should have recognition by joint committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC.
The candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for AP ICET-2015
Admission into any college depends on its Recognition/Affiliation by the Statutory Bodies.
Qualifying marks in APICET-2015 is 25% and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST candidates.
Mere qualification in the entrance test does not entitle a candidate to have been admitted into MBA/MCA course unless the candidate:
Appears for Counseling at the notified Centers.
Applies in response to the admission notification issued by the authority concerned (for part-time/evening/distance mode).
Satisfies all the eligibility conditions of admission stipulated by the authority concerned.
Examination Pattern :
The test is designed to measure the candidate’s ability to think systematically, to use the verbal and mathematical skills and to assess his/her aptitude for admission into MBA/MCA programme. The Test emphasizes accuracy. Therefore, the candidate is required to go through the instructions carefully. This is an objective type test and the questions are of multiple choice. Out of the given options, the candidate has to choose the correct answer. If the Candidate gives more than one answer to any question, such answers will be ignored while awarding marks.
PATTERN OF THE TEST: The test consists of 200 questions of one mark each in the following topics.

Regional Test Centre The AP ICET-2015 examination will be held at the following 30 Regional Test Centers in Andhra Pradesh.
